Because he is still unmarried at the age of 35, Morioka Kotaro is under a lot of pressure by his family. He agrees to seriously consider a woman that agrees to his condition to never divorce or else she’ll have to pay a huge fine, thinking there will be none. This is the story of him and the four women who do accept his condition for various reasons and undergo an employment exam-like testing period to become his wife.
