University student Suzuki Chinami (Tsuchiya Tao) lives with her parents in northern Kamakura. Her father Masashi (Nakamura Toru) is a university professor and loves playing the guitar, and her perfect family-oriented mother Keiko (Yasuda Narumi) sings well and is a good cook. One morning, Chinami leaves home earlier than usual. When she arrives at Gokurakuji Station, the nearest station on the Enoshima line, she sees a young man Nagai Takeru (Nagayama Kento) standing at the platform. Chinami is unconsciously frozen to the spot and looks terribly upset. However, Takeru cannot make sense of her reaction and is taken aback. He works diligently for a small shipyard which Hiroki Katsuhiko (Sato Koichi) owns and lives alone in an old apartment made of wood. Something seems to have happened in his family in the past. A family photo and what appears to be his parents belongings are displayed. Despite their different circumstances, Chinami and Takeru eventually become a couple through that peculiar first encounter. However, Chinami stubbornly refuses to let him meet her parents. When Takeru steps into her house for the first time, the shocking reason becomes apparent and stirs up the past. Will he be able to come to terms with the truth?
